Tammie Blackburn, PEEP Director

Hello PEEP families! I'm a Beulaville native where I've lived basically my entire life.  I'm married to Michael and have two sons, Austin and Josh and a new daughter-in-law, Mallory (Josh's wife).  We also have a few pets -- Andy, our dog, and Floyd and Ellie, our cats.  I worked as a kindergarten teacher for Duplin County schools for 30 years and retired in June of 2023.  This year, I've enjoyed getting a chance to work with children in a Christian preschool setting before they head off to "big school".  I've worked with both 3s and 4s this year. I attend church at Beulaville Presbyterian Church.  In my free time, I love spending time with my family, getting out in the yard and garden, playing the piano, reading, woodworking, and other types of crafts.

  I was born in Pender County and have lived in Duplin County my whole life.  I graduated from East Duplin High School.  I have been married to my husband, Jamey, for twenty six years.  We have two children, Hillary and Katie.  I have worked at PEEP for almost twelve years.  I am lead teacher in the two year old classroom and assistant in the morning and afternoon threes classrooms and afternoon four year old classroom.  In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and watching my youngest daughter play volleyball at Lenoir Community College!
